it is used extensively in waldorf schools around the world, often as the only form of modelling clay or wax - for its warmth and will & perseverance building properties, (increasingly relevant in today’s era of instant gratification).
modelling beeswax is an ideal material to model with because of its cleanliness to work with, its pleasant smell, re-usability, and responsiveness to fine detail for intricate modelling.
while it is hard at room temperature, it just needs to be held in ones hands for a few minutes to absorb warmth and begin modelling with.
once the wax cools, it hardens, and can be integrated into all sorts of play.
it never dries up, and is infinitely re-useable.
